Timber Orangeries

We specialise in crafting orangeries predominantly using timber, a timeless and sustainable material cherished for its natural beauty and quality essence. By blending traditional joinery techniques with modern technology, we create a product that seamlessly integrates the best of both worlds.

Each timber orangery we construct is meticulously customized to suit our clients’ unique requirements, harmonize with the host building, and maximize the beauty of the surrounding garden. The versatility of timber allows for a wide range of color options, ranging from crisp whites to bold greys and subtle pastel shades, ensuring a perfect match for any aesthetic.

We offer a comprehensive range of services, covering every step of the process, from design and manufacturing to seamless installation, guaranteeing that the final product exceeds initial expectations. We are equipped to handle the entire project, including any necessary building work, or alternatively, we can focus solely on manufacturing and installing the timber orangery components.

Traditional Roof Lanterns

At our company, we offer a wide selection of traditional timber roof lanterns that can be supplied and installed as standalone items. Whether you’re seeking to replace an old skylight or create a stunning focal point for a new extension, our timber roof lanterns are designed to bring the ‘wow-factor’ into your room.

Our classic-style roof lanterns boast elegantly crafted ovolo moulded rafters and hips, constructed from FSC Certified hardwood. While the majority of the timber remains sheltered from the elements, ensuring durability is not compromised, the inherent strength of hardwood allows us to use slimmer sections while maintaining the required structural integrity.

To enhance longevity and minimize maintenance, we combine aluminium and accoya for the external components of the lantern. Our recommended choice for glass is solar control glass, capable of blocking out over 80% of solar heat and reducing glare. Additionally, this glass is equipped with a self-cleaning coating that surprisingly proves highly effective.

Navigating Planning Permission in Buckinghamshire: A Comprehensive Guide

Buckinghamshire, a county steeped in history and natural beauty, is home to picturesque villages, historic market towns, and stunning countryside. For residents and developers alike, obtaining planning permission in Buckinghamshire is a crucial step in shaping the county’s future while preserving its unique character and charm. Understanding the nuances of the planning process is essential for navigating development in this diverse and dynamic region.

Situated in the heart of the South East of England, Buckinghamshire is subject to careful planning regulations designed to balance growth and preservation. Oversight of planning matters in Buckinghamshire is managed by local planning authorities such as Buckinghamshire Council and district councils, each responsible for evaluating applications within their jurisdiction.

For homeowners embarking on renovation, extension, or new construction projects in Buckinghamshire, the first step is often determining whether planning permission is required. While some minor works may fall under permitted development rights, larger projects typically necessitate formal approval from the relevant council. Seeking guidance from planning officers or consulting with professional advisors can provide clarity on specific requirements and ensure compliance with local regulations.

In Buckinghamshire, where heritage preservation is highly valued, properties located within conservation areas or designated as listed buildings may be subject to additional planning restrictions. Preserving key architectural features, respecting the character of the area, and using sympathetic materials are essential considerations when seeking planning permission in these designated zones. Collaboration with conservation officers and incorporation of heritage considerations into proposed developments can help streamline the planning process.

For developers proposing new construction projects in Buckinghamshire, navigating the planning process involves submitting comprehensive proposals, engaging in consultations with local authorities, and addressing any concerns raised by residents or community stakeholders. Factors such as environmental impact, traffic management, and infrastructure considerations are carefully evaluated to ensure that proposed developments align with the county’s vision for growth and sustainability.

Throughout the planning process in Buckinghamshire, transparency, communication, and community engagement are paramount. Engaging with local residents, seeking input from planning authorities, and demonstrating a commitment to high-quality design and sustainable development practices can help build support for proposed projects and increase the likelihood of approval.

In Buckinghamshire, where the balance between progress and preservation is delicately maintained, obtaining planning permission plays a pivotal role in shaping the county’s future. By adhering to local regulations, respecting the county’s natural beauty and architectural heritage, and embracing sustainable development principles, homeowners, businesses, and developers can contribute to the continued prosperity and beauty of this cherished county for generations to come.
