Orangery Extension in Chalfont St. Peter
The clients wanted to extend the kitchen by opening it up into a large orangery, with utility room on the side.

Foundations ready to pour concrete
Concrete poured and a new soakaway dug, this is a big hole beneath the plywood board. You can see the pipe running from this back to the extension which will be connected to the rainwater pipes at a later stage.
We also dug out in preparation for a new patio to be laid at a later stage, once all the messy jobs such as plastering are complete. Using the dumper we bought in many tonnes of granite chippings (Type 1 M.O.T.) for use as a base for the patio.
Top soil has also been saved for the client to use.

Normally the walls are plastered before the floor is screeded, but better to screed the floor first in this case.
Aprrox 100mm of Celotex GA4100 insulation is laid, then underfloor heating pipes on top.
Screed laid. Again, this is done with a laser level and is perfectly flat.
The screed can start drying whilst other works are being done.

Tiles to match the existing were sourced and extended out past the peninsula. New wood-effect tiles were laid in the lounge area.
